School Health Advisory Board

The Clarke County School Board is in the process of establishing a School Health Advisory Board (SHAB).  The role of the SHAB is to assist in the development of health policy in the school division and to provide feedback on the status of school health, health education, the school environment and health services.

In establishing the committee, it is the Board's intent to include a broad-based community representation of parents, health professionals, educators and others who might have an interest.  It is anticipated that an organizational meeting will be held in late August once the school year begins. Regular meetings will occur quarterly.

Any parent or community member who has an interest in serving on the SHAB should contact Dr. Bishop via email by August 11, 2017 at
