Policy KF, Distribution of Information/Materials was enacted by the Clarke County School Board to inform the public and staff about displaying and distributing printed informational materials and announcements. This policy is intended to provide an appropriate mechanism for informing students, staff, and parents about school and community activities and events.

KF-CCPS-R, Distribution of Information/Materials provides guidelines for distribution or display of printed informational materials and announcements sent home with students, displayed within the school, or posted on school property. Printed informational materials and announcements from nonprofit community organizations shall be permitted to be distributed directly to students through take-home folders, backpacks, or similar manner four times per year.

All informational materials and announcements provided by others, including nonprofit community organizations, for distribution during those times as designated throughout the school year or for display by all community organizations or businesses, must include the following disclaimer:

“These materials are neither sponsored nor endorsed by the Board of Education of Clarke County, the superintendent, or this school.”

In the event the materials are to be distributed to multiple school divisions within the region, the following alternative text may be used: 

“These materials are neither sponsored nor endorsed by the Board of Education, the Superintendent, or this school.”
